Dr. Basu has over 20 years of experience teaching financial and managerial/cost accounting at undergraduate and graduate levels. He has also taught accounting seminars for practicing professionals in the US and abroad. His research interests include financial accounting and accounting education and he has had several academic presentations and publications. He is currently the Chairperson of the Innovations in Accounting Education Committee of the Teaching and Curriculum Section of the American Accounting Association. Dr. Basu received several teaching awards and recognitions at his previous appointment at the Terry College of Business at University of Georgia.

At Smith School of Business, Dr. Basu teaches Financial Statement Analysis for MBAs, and Managerial Accounting and Intermediate Accounting for undergraduates.
