Metro Area and beyond The Dingman Center is located at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland

MBA Entrepreneurship Club

Our Mission:  To assist and encourage Smith graduate students pursuing careers in the entrepreneurial and venture capital sectors. The club provides education and aid to students interested in starting their own businesses, either while they are pursuing their MBAs or sometime in the future. Additionally, we promote an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset as integral to success in corporate America.

Activities and Event: In the 2007-2008 school year the club is will be sending several teams to the top business plan competitions in the country. To prep club members to win business plan competitions, we will host a seminar on crafting a business plan, followed by business plan review sessions. Our premier event is held in February, when we host a local round of the Venture Capital Investment Competition and train the winning team to succeed in later rounds. We also plan to give back to the community by helping teach entrepreneurship to either high school students or to prison inmates.
