Masters of Science in Business: Accounting
Admissions
We are now accepting applications for the Fall 2010 cohort.

Please note that the acceptance process will begin with the first application
deadline date and continue until the cohort reaches its maximum limit as
determined by the Smith School of Business. Once an application is complete, it
will take approximately 3-6 weeks for a decision to be rendered.
The MSBA program only admits students during the fall semester.
The following are required to be considered for admission into the program:
- (1) The equivalent of a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/general
business (minimum GPA of 3.0)
OR
(2) The equivalent of a bachelor's degree in any major (minimum
overall GPA of 3.0) and three years of professional experience with a
background in financial and/or managerial accounting.
- A completed online application form that includes a written essay
articulating your qualifications and motivation for pursuing advanced
education.
- The application fee of $60.00.
- Two official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate
institutions that you have attended.
- Two letters of recommendation submitted online from supervisors within
your organization or from professors familiar with your work.
- Admissions interview, if required. After initial screening, the
Admissions Office may select candidates for interviews which may be done in
person or by telephone. The Admissions Office will contact you to schedule
an interview time.
- Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS scores) if English
is not your primary language.

- The Graduate Record Examination® (GRE®) or the Graduate Management
Admissions Test® (GMAT®) is highly recommended but not required.
