Participants in the Smith Master of
Science in Business: Accounting Program gain the leading-edge knowledge and
skills they need to bring exceptional value to their firms in today's
high-stakes accounting arena and earn an advanced accounting degree from one
of the world's leading business schools. The curriculum is relevant, practical
and applicable from day one, focusing on such key issues as:

General Accounting Track
Options
A general accounting track is also
offered as an option to assist
participants working toward the 150-hour
credit CPA education requirement in
Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Students electing the general accounting
track can replace both the Internal
Audit I and II courses or only the
Internal II course with electives
graduate business courses. Selected
electives courses are subject to course
availability and approval by the program
Academic Director.
Program Format
Smith's accounting program is
specifically designed for working
professionals. Classes meet on
Saturdays for 15 months. The cost of
attendance is approximately $36,000.
Classes are held in the Smith School's
world-class facilities at the University
of Maryland's Shady Grove campus.
