Master in Business: Finance classes are held at the Ronald Reagan building in downtown Washington, in walking distance to the Treasury Department and other national landmarks.

Curriculum: Program Format

The Smith MS in Business: Finance is designed to accommodate part-time students and may be completed in as little as 15 months. Classes meet twice weekly at the Smith School's Washington, D.C., campus located in the Ronald Reagan Building and the International Trade Center.

The core consists of five courses (12 credits). Supplementing the core coursework are electives classes that allow students the flexibility to specialize in a particular area of finance or to become a highly qualified generalist. Students must complete 18 credits from a list of approved elective classes. Upon approval by the academic advisor, students may substitute up to six credits for electives not listed as approved.

An Action Learning Project will allow students to tackle a real-world problems from the workplace and can substitute for three elective credits.
