Van Munching Hall: Construction Inside & Out

This summer, the Smith School was surrounded by construction, both inside and outside Van Munching Hall. Refurbishment of the old wing of the building is well underway. The renovations also include technology upgrades in some of the classrooms.

Outside the building, "Southwest District Improvements" have begun as well. This has involved the removal of the parking lot in front of Van Munching Hall, which will become a park-like stretch of greenery, trees and pedestrian walkways. The multi-year, $3-million project was funded in part by money from Robert H. Smith. This initial part of the project should be complete by the end of this year.
