SPOTLIGHT:
Dustin Hodgson Program Manager for Professional Programs and Services |
Dustin
Hodgson has been with the Robert H. Smith
School of Business for a year and a half,
but two months ago he switched into his new
role as program manager for professional
programs and services. Before making the
transition Hodgson worked in student
services. Now he is working in the
admissions department where he has become
the primary contact for scholarships,
graduate assistants and fellowships. He will
also be involved in the admissions process
for potential incoming MBA students.
Before working at the Smith School, Hodgson worked at the Financial Aid Office for the University of Maryland as the senior financial aid officer. He says the thing he likes most about working at the Smith School now is developing relationships with the MBA student population. Outside of his job here at Smith, Hodgson enjoys being active, spending time with his family and following the Washington Redskins. In fact one of his favorite things in D.C. is going to see a Redskin’s game at FedEx field. If you are not into football like he is, Hodgson has recommendations for the D.C. area especially for those that are new to it. He suggests that everyone makes sure they visit the National Mall to see all the museums and downtown Georgetown to shop. As far as advice for students while at Smith, he encourages everyone to take full advantage of all the resources that are available to them while here.
