University Update

Second Annual University of Maryland Holiday Photo Students, faculty and staff are invited to join President and Mrs. Mote on Friday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. on the front steps of the Main Administration Building for the University of Maryland Holiday Photo. UM hopes hundreds of members of the Maryland family will come out wearing their Terp red to take part in the photo and video that will be included in this year's electronic holiday card. The card is e-mailed to hundreds of thousands of the university's alumni and friends around the world and helps keep them connected to the campus. To get us in the holiday spirit a bit early, there will be holiday cookies and free red t-shirts (while supplies last) for those participating. In the event of inclement weather, the photo/video will be rescheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 1 p.m. (check www.umd.edu for updates).

The Web site, Preservation Search, offers immediate access to interactive maps, photos and text of the Annapolis historic district. He adds that it will be a boon to homeowners, city officials, preservationists and tourists.
